Added 6 photos to the Slide Show Missile Operations Folder. The photos show Battery A, 217th Field Artillery Missile Battalion, 40th Artillery Group conducting a Redstone missile launch under test conditions at Cape Canaveral, Florida in May 1958 just prior to the 40th Artillery Group deploying to Germany in June 1958. Battery A was the first troop unit to fire a Redstone missile. In June 1958, Battery B launched a Redstone missile, the first by a troop unit under field conditions, at the White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.

I also rearranged the photos in the Slide Show Missile Operations Folder into chronological order.

Commencing with this Update, I will be periodically adding/correcting/updating Redstone missile technical data as gleaned from various Department of the Army Redstone Missile Technical Manuals that I have been acquiring from the US National Archives.

Today, on Page 12, APPENDIX A: The Redstone Missile in Detail, under the Missile Description paragraph, I replaced the existing Components graphic with a more detailed MISSILE NOMENCLATURE graphic. As with all images inserted in the text body, click on the thumbnail to view the detailed expanded image or graphic.

Added a link on the Related Links Page to the Wikipedia web site article titled Redstone (rocket). I have recently edited this article and made additions/corrections for Wikipedia. The article contains Redstone-related internal and external links.

Added a composite panorama photo of Bad Kreuznach made from 3 photos taken in June 2007 by Desmond Bonnington to the Slide Show Bad Kreuznach Folder.
