February 2 , 2007 Divided Page 12 into two parts by adding a new Page 13. Page 12 is now retitled Addendum/Appendix A, and Page 13 is named Addendum/Appendix B.
February 3 , 2007 I have reworked some of the Page Layout. Moved and divided the original Page 7 The Redstone Missile In Detail into Page 11 and Page 12 as Appendix A. I will now be able to more readily add and update missile technical information. Previous Page 12 is now Page 13 Addendum/Appendix B. Previous Page 13 is now Page 14 Addendum/Appendix C.
February 7 , 2007 Photo Gallery Page 8: Added 11 additional photos of the Battery A training missile operation conducted on 4 December 1958 at Eckweiler, Germany for 7th Army and USAREUR General Officers, and visiting dignitaries. This event is now sequentially depicted in 17 photos, #375 to #391.

February 15 , 2007 Revised the Appendix/Addendum pages. Addendum is now Page 11. Appendix A: The Redstone Missile in Detail starts on Page 12. Appendix B is Page 14. Appendix C is Page 15.
March 6 , 2007 Added 3 photos to the Slide Show Redstone Miscellaneous Folder. The photos were taken by Desmond Bonnington at the Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama in 2000. They show the Redstone and other missiles developed at Redstone Arsenal, plus the Redstone missile Rocketdyne engine.
April 4, 2007 Added 6 photos to the Slide Show Bad Kreuznach and Des Gouttes Kaserne Folder. These 2007 photos were taken by Rodrigo Gebhard from vantage points atop Kuhberg Hill overlooking Bad Kreuznach and Bad Munster am Stein.
April 23, 2007 Added two links on the Related Links Page to the Stars & Stripes Archives Page web site containing an August 21, 1962 Redstone missile article and related photos of the 46th Artillery Group at Panzer Kaserne, Stuttgart, Germany on July 14, 1962. This link information was sent to me by Walter Elkins, webmaster of the outstanding US Army in Germany web site.
April 27, 2007 Added the 28 photos, in 10 Slides, from the Stars & Stripes Archives Page web site containing an August 21, 1962 Redstone missile article and related photos of the 46th Artillery Group at Panzer Kaserne, Stuttgart, Germany on July 14, 1962 to the Slide Show Redstone Miscellaneous Folder.
June 7 , 2007

Added 6 photos to the Slide Show Missile Operations Folder. The photos show Battery A, 217th Field Artillery Missile Battalion, 40th Artillery Group conducting a Redstone missile launch under test conditions at Cape Canaveral, Florida in May 1958 just prior to the 40th Artillery Group deploying to Germany in June 1958. Battery A was the first troop unit to fire a Redstone missile. In June 1958, Battery B launched a Redstone missile, the first by a troop unit under field conditions, at the White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.

I also rearranged the photos in the Slide Show Missile Operations Folder into chronological order.

June 14 , 2007 Added 13 photos to the Slide Show 40th Artillery Group Folder. The photos show Battery B, 217th Field Artillery Missile Battalion, 40th Artillery Group conducting a Redstone missile launch under tactical conditions at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico in June 1958 just prior to deploying to Germany. Battery B was the first troop unit to fire a Redstone missile using the ground support equipment utilized and necessary for field deployment.
July 5 , 2007 Added 9 photos to the Slide Show Redstone Miscellaneous Folder. The photos show Redstone missile operations at the White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico in late 1958 and the first half of 1959, and the launch of Block 1 tactical missile CC-1010 in January 1959 by Battery A, 46th Artillery Group, just prior to 46th Group's deployment from Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Germany in April 1959.
July 11, 2007 Added 4 photos to the Slide Show Redstone Miscellaneous Folder that were provided by Robert A. Chesebro, Jr. Bob Chesebro served in HQ & HQ Battery, 46th Artillery Group (Redstone) in Neckarsulm, Germany from November 1961 until March 31, 1964. The photos show HQ & HQ Battery personnel on field maneuvers during "Exercise Grand Slam II" in May 1963.
July 15, 2007 Added 37 photos to the Slide Show Bad Kreuznach and Des Gouttes Kaserne Folder of ther former Rose Kaserne in Bad Kreuznach taken by Rodrigo Gebhard on 7 July 2007.

July 31, 2007 Divided the Slide Show Bad Kreuznach and Des Gouttes Kaserne Folder into two separate Folders, now named Bad Kreuznach Folder and Des Gouttes Kaserne and Kuhberg Folder. Added 17 photos of Bad Kreuznach taken in June 2007 by Desmond Bonnington to the Bad Kreuznach Folder.
August 2, 2007 Added 10 beautiful photos of Bad Kreuznach to the Slide Show Bad Kreuznach Folder that were taken by Rodrigo Gebhard on 28 July 2007.
August 10, 2007 Added a nice photo taken by Rodrigo Gebhard of the Community Swimming Pool located in a picturesque area between Bad Kreuznach and Bad Munster to the Slide Show Bad Kreuznach Folder.

Commencing with this Update, I will be periodically adding/correcting/updating Redstone missile technical data as gleaned from various Department of the Army Redstone Missile Technical Manuals that I have been acquiring from the US National Archives.

Today, on Page 12, APPENDIX A: The Redstone Missile in Detail, under the Missile Description paragraph, I replaced the existing Components graphic with a more detailed MISSILE NOMENCLATURE graphic. As with all images inserted in the text body, click on the thumbnail to view the detailed expanded image or graphic.

October 26, 2007 Added 3 links on the Related Links Page to 3 Redstone Missile Videos on YouTube.com. The first Video shows a Redstone test launch at Cape Canaveral, Florida in the 1950's. The 2nd and 3rd show the Chrysler Corporation Redstone missile production facility, Detroit, Michigan, in 1957 and 1959.

December 16, 2007 Added a photo of Redstone missile CC-54 to the Slide Show Redstone Miscellaneous Folder that was sent to me by Art LeBrun. Photos is of Jupiter A and Redstone R&D flight conducted on June 12, 1958.

Added 3 photos to the Slide Show 40th Artillery Group Folder. The photos were taken by Desmond Bonnington 580th Engineer Company, 40th Artillery Group, at the Port of Embarkation, Bremerhaven, Germany on Des's last day with the US Army in Germany on 19 December 1959.
