January 9, 2006 Added two aircraft photos to Page 3 section Journey to Fort Sill.
January 21, 2006 Revised the Slide Show format. Added additional images to Slide Show. I will be adding additional images to the Slide Show over the next few weeks.
January 24, 2006 Added Tray 8 "Rhine River Tour", with 24 photos of Rhine River scenes taken in May and September 1961, to Slide Show.
February 3, 2006 Added Photos 334 and 335, sent to me by Rodrigo Gebhard of Bad Kreuznach, Germany, to Photo Gallery Page 7 . The photos, two of ten taken by Rodrigo on February 1, 2006, clearly depict the current conditions of the remnants of the former Des Gouttes Kaserne in Bad Kreuznach.
February 4, 2006 Installed a new Slide Show format, with captioned full-screen images. I would appreciate receiving feedback on this Slide Show format, with respect to appearance, navigation ease, etc.
February 12, 2006 Added 40th Artillery Group Folder to the new Slide Show.
February 18, 2006 Added some most interesting information to the Page 6, Page 8, and Page 10 Narratives that was shared with me by Colonel (Retired) Charles A. "Chuck" Thompson, who as Captain Charles Thompson was 40th Artillery Group Adjutant in 1961 and 1962.
February 26, 2006 Received a photo taken on February 1, 2006 of the former Gasthaus zur Lammerbrueke, from Rodrigo Gebhard of Bad Kreuznach. Added Rodrigo's photo to the Page 10 Narrative.
February 27, 2006 Added 23 photos to the Slide Show Bad Kreuznach Folder. These photos were taken by Rodrigo Gebhard on February 1, 2006. They show the remains of Des Gouutes Kaserne, the former Gasthaus zur Lammerbrucke on Bosenheimer Strasse, and former US Army facilities and areas on Kuhberg Hill that were utilized by 40th Artillery Group.
March 12, 2006 Added 3 photos to the Slide Show Missile Operations Folder. These photos show Redstone Trainer Missile operations conducted at Eckweiler, Germany by Battery A.
March 14, 2006 Added 17 photos to Photo Gallery Page 7: Rodrigo Gebhard's photos previously posted in the Slide Show Bad Kreuznach Folder, and 3 photos showing Trainer Missile operations at Eckweiler.
April 7, 2006 Updated the current-day Ronald A. Smith photo on Page 11: Epilogue, "Where Are They Now?" with a new photo.
April 14, 2006

Added Photo Gallery Page 8 with 17 Photos 351 to 367. These photos show a Redstone Trainer Missile operation conducted by Battery A, 217th Field Artillery Missile Battalion, 40th Artillery Group (Redstone). The mission was conducted in February 1959 on Kuhberg Hill, located a short distance south of Bad Kreuznach, Germany.

I will also be adding these photos to the Slide Show, and incorporating them into the Page 7 narrative text.

April 15, 2006 Added the 17 photos that depict the Redstone Trainer Missile operation conducted by Battery A, 217th Field Artillery Missile Battalion, 40th Artillery Group (Redstone) into the Page 7 narrative text of The Redstone Missile in Detail. The photos were taken in February 1959 on Kuhberg Hill, located a short distance south of Bad Kreuznach, Germany.
April 16, 2006 Added the 17 photos that depict the Redstone Trainer Missile operation conducted by Battery A, 217th Field Artillery Missile Battalion, 40th Artillery Group (Redstone) into the Slide Show Missile Operations Folder. The photos were taken in February 1959 on Kuhberg Hill, located a short distance south of Bad Kreuznach, Germany.
April 23, 2006 Added comments provided to me by Colonel (Retired) Charles A. Thompson, to Page 6, Missile Operations in the Field section. Chuck Thompson describes missile checkout timesaving measures he implemented with the Corporal missile, and applying these concepts to the Redstone missile checkout in Battery B while serving as Battery XO and concurrent Firing Battery Commander position.
May 19, 2006 Page 12: Appendix/Addendum - Added a tribute to our former Battery A CO, Lt. Colonel (Retired) Pascal W. Pascarella.
May 26, 2006 Received four new photos taken by Rodrigo Gebhard earlier this year of the former Rose Barracks in Bad Kreuznach. I have added the photos to the Slide Show Bad Kreuznach Folder, Page 3.
June 4, 2006 Added a photo of the Bad Kreuznach Bridge Houses taken in 1992 and sent to me by Allen Lawless, to the Slide Show Bad Kreuznach Folder, Page 3. From September 1991 to October 1994, with the rank of SFC E-7, Allen served in the 8th Infantry Division/1st Armored Division Band stationed at Rose Barracks, Bad Kreuznach (in January 1992 8th Infantry Division reflagged to become 1st Armored Division).
June 7, 2006 Added eight additional photos taken by Rodrigo Gebhard in June 2006 to the Slide Show Bad Kreuznach Folder, Page 3 and Page 4. The photos show the remains of the original Main Gate of Des Gouttes Kaserne and the nearby area.
June 9, 2006 Added seven additional photos taken by Rodrigo Gebhard in 2003 to the Slide Show Bad Kreuznach Folder, Page 4. The photos show the famous Bad Kreuznach Bridge Houses .
June 10, 2006 Added a very nice photo sent to me by Bill Terry to the Slide Show Bad Kreuznach Folder, Page 4. The undated photo shows the famous Bad Kreuznach Bridge Houses in a winter's night scene.
Bill Terry was stationed at Des Gouttes Kaserne, Bad Kreuznach from February 1954 to February 1957 while serving in a 280mm Atomic Cannon Battalion: 2nd Platoon, Battery B, 264th FA BN (280mm Gun), 30th FA Group.

July 30, 2006 Page 12: Appendix/Addendum - Added another most interesting four page special report provided by Desmond N. Bonnington, dated August 1958 with the title The Army's Sunday Punch - about the new 40th Field Artillery Missile Group. The special report was put out by the Rocketdyne Division of North American Aviation Corporation.

November 5, 2006 Received a very interesting email from Louis Krieger who served from 1962 to 1964 with the 523rd Engineer Company, 46th Artillery Group at Artillery Kaserne in Neckarsulm, Germany. During his time with 523rd, Louie operated a LOX plant. I have added a link on the Related Links Page to Louie's Army photo page of his commercial web site.
